Washington lost a great man in Abe Pollin.
Forget Pollin’s sports accomplishments for a moment. He was a wonderful person. Pollin treated his staff like family, something we seldom see anymore. He gave heavily to local charities. Anything people needed, Pollin was there to help.

Former Washington Redskins linebacker Mel Kaufman died today. Causes weren’t disclosed with an autopsy planned for Wednesday.
Kaufman was a young man, just 50 years old. He was well regarded among the team during his years as a captain and later as an alumn.
