Boston invades Washington

I haven’t been to Fenway Park since 1982, but I gained a taste of it last night when the Red Sox beat the Nationals. Red Sox fans arrived four hours early and probably outnumbered Nats backers 2-1. But, Nats fans made their share of noise.

The Big Unit deserved better

Washington baseball hit a new low during a doubleheader loss to San Francisco on Thursday. There were maybe 1,000 people in the stands (and I doubt that) for Randy Johnson’s 300th career win. Johnson threw a great game and Washingtonians were poorer for missing it even if it was a cool, rainy day.

Tour Nats Park and never leave home

The stands have really looked empty since opening day. No surprise there for lots of reasons. But, this video was posted on YouTube today by an out-of-town sports writer whom I don’t know that does a nice job of showing you around if you’re thinking about going.

New Nats Statues aren’t bad
