I know I said I wouldn’t watch the new bowl game in Washington. Yet, here I am at kickoff staring at ESPN. Give me a break — the weather stinks, I’m done Christmas shopping and not leaving until 2:30 to take my wife out for our 28th wedding anniversary.
But, I see a whole lot of empty seats at RFK Stadium. This just isn’t a great idea. Some kind of consolation bowl and Navy deserves better. The Midshipmen are the crowd favorite thanks to 800 men and women from the academy in the stands plus playing in nearby Annapolis.
I think Navy wins easily. I just wonder if anybody cares?
