Looks like all that money Dan Snyder saved by whacking three dozen blue-collar workers around Redskins Park went to DeAngelo Hall.
The Redskins retained the cornerback with a six-year, $54 million deal with $22.5 million guaranteed. Hall is probably their best corner now as long as he stays out of the trouble that peppered his past. It’s one thing to be good on a contract year — it’s like double-secret probation. However, when players get the long-term deal, they tend to go back to being who they are. We’ll see.
Don’t be surprised if the Redskins sign left guard Derrick Dockery, a former draft pick who left two years ago for a crazy contract with Buffalo. He was cut on Thursday and would be a great fit.
