Vick’s agent at Redskins Park

It was almost a five-alarm alert this morning at Redskins Park when Michael Vick’s agent Joel Segal was spotted talking to Redskins VP Vinny Cerrato.

Then Segal actually met with the media (he’s actually one of the nicer agents to deal with) and said no, Vick wasn’t coming to the Redskins. He was just there to see some other clients like Jason Campbell, LaRon Landry and DeAngelo Hall.

Not to crack wise on Segal, but I never trust agents. Been burned too many times, though not by him. Let’s just say I’m always paranoid.

There’s some gossip that Vick might be heading to Baltimore. Certainly, the Ravens are only about an hour away from the Redskins so Segal might just be visiting both camps like many NFL people do when in the region. Maybe he’s talking to the Ravens on Vick and just swung by to have some face time with his Redskins clients. After all, that’s part of his job.

And maybe Segal’s testing the Redskins interest, though it would be hard to bring Vick in against Campbell, another of his clients who will be a free agent next year. Segal doesn’t want to lose that deal.

So, let’s take Segal at his word that Vick isn’t coming to Washington and this was all a coincidence. After all, the scenario doesn’t quite fit. That is, unless the Redskins have seen enough of a questionable offensive line and need Vick’s mobility.

See, there are always scenarios.

One Response to Vick’s agent at Redskins Park

SADLY, he will end up in either Buffalo or Pittsburgh and if he does sign, I WILL BE DONE WITH THE NFL…….NO WATCHING GAMES OR ANYTHING……I’LL STICK TO COLLEGE BALL…….Still feel Goodell made a HUGE MISTAKE and that Vick does NOT deserve a second chance……I can honestly say if I was convicted of a felony, there is NOOOOOOOOOOO WAY THE SALVATION ARMY would hire me back.
