This whining that Alex Ovechkin is celebrating too much after goals is stupid.
Alex is having fun. The fans are having fun. It’s great for the game. It’s fresh.
Memo to NHL: get over yourself. Be glad you have a marketable personality. It’s how your league will survive.
NHL purists like Caps coach Bruce Boudreau are old-school and think it makes a mockery of the game. Sorry old dudes, but time to get current. The NFL may be a little out of hand, but the fans love this stuff.
Leave Ovechkin alone.
